Notes/Observation
"The vast majority of products are sold because of the need for love, the fear of shame, the pride of achievement, the drive for recognition, the yearning to feel important, the urge to look attractive, the lust for power, the longing for romance, the need to feel secure, the terror of facing the unknown, the lifelong hunger for self-esteem and so on.
Emotions are the fire of human motivation, the combustible force that secretly drives most buying decisions.
When your marketing harnesses those forces correctly, you will generate explosive increases in response." - Gary Bencivenga
On my journey to learn copywriting, I am paying more attention to media that captures my attention and learning why it does.

Book of The Week
“Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion” by Robert Cialdini
This book explores the six universal principles of influence and how they can be applied to copywriting.
Cialdini discovered six fundamental principles influencing decisions: Reciprocity, Commitment/Consistency, Social Proof, Authority, Liking, and Scarcity.
My biggest takeaway was the Scarcity factor.
Because we hate to miss opportunities, scarcity makes us act. We beat ourselves up for missing opportunities, as regret is a powerful feeling.
Great marketers know this well.
People told of a limited-time sale are quick to rush in if they think it will vanish. I have urgently bought items many times.
As you may know, there is lots of fake scarcity on the net. Marketers peddle digital products with countdowns and deadlines as if they will bounce off the face of the Earth.
It may not be the most honest thing to do, but it is a valuable skill in your arsenal.
Strategy
Storytelling is an essential aspect of human life and has been around since the beginning of civilization. The power of storytelling lies in its ability to communicate messages, values, and emotions in a way that can engage and inspire people.
Create short stories of things that capture your attention this week. The practice will hone your skills in delivering any message you want.
Question
Inside each of us is a natural-born storyteller waiting to be released.
So, what type of stories do you have inside of you, and how will you bring them out?
