5. "Everything is constantly changing. There are only two possibilities. Either you let go of where you are and get to where you could be, or you hang onto where you are and give up where you could be. You are either going for your dreams or giving up your dreams. Stretching for what you could be, or settling for what you are. There is simply no in-between." - Jeff Olsen

Articles [Highlight on Breonna Taylor]
“These are changes for which policymakers in Louisville had been advocating for several years in an effort to reduce costs spent on police misconduct cases. But none of them actually address the brutal, callous manner in which Breonna Taylor’s life was ended that bloody night — and none of them would have saved her.”
“At this point it’s bigger than Breonna, it’s bigger than just Black Lives,” Ms. Taylor’s mother, Tamika Palmer, said over the summer as she beseeched the authorities to bring criminal charges. “We’ve got to figure out how to fix the city, how to heal from here.”

Notes/Observations/Thoughts
The Power of Completion (from The Slight Edge by Jeff Olsen)
Each and every incomplete thing in your life or work exerts a draining force on you, sucking the energy of accomplishment and success out of you as surely as a vampire stealing your blood. Every incomplete promise, commitment, or agreement saps your strength because it blocks your momentum and chokes off your ability to move forward, progress, or improve. Incomplete things keep calling you back to the past to take care of them. Here’s the unfortunate and powerfully destructive truth of being incomplete: it keeps the past alive. Remember, people who live on the success curve are pulled by the future, while those who dwell on the failure curve are pulled by the past. And a surefire way to be forced to live as a prisoner of your past is not to complete things.
That stack of incompletions can loom larger than the Sears Tower. They can be absolutely overwhelming. Especially when you realize that whatever might have been keeping you from completing them in the first place—fear of confronting the issue, feeling intimidated or overwhelmed by it, worrying it might be difficult or uncomfortable—well, that has been compounded by the slight edge, too. That’s the slight edge working, again, only working against you.
My Thoughts
As recently as this week, I've had many issues with lingering tasks, house fixes, and other calls I have needed to follow up on.
I started feeling drained every time the tasks remained undone.
I kept seeing reminders of what I needed to do, and I kept saying to myself I better get started and wouldn't budge.
I realized in order to gather momentum; I would have to complete what I needed to be done.
I Either had to do it, delete it or delegate it. Thereby making the task complete. Once I did, it felt relieving that I no longer had to think about the tasks anymore. And that is the power of completion.

Book of the Week
The Slight Edge by Jeff Olsen
A powerful read, honestly one of my top 5 this year so far.
So much wisdom packed into this book - It is a must buy.
Example;
People don’t consistently do those simple things for three reasons:
1) while they’re easy to do, they are also easy not to do;
2) you don’t see any results at first;
3) they seem insignificant like they don’t matter. But they do.
