Notes/Observations
Observation
Being financially smart is about prioritizing time over money above all else.
Money is time.
BE careful with your time and everything else will fall in place. You are not spending time scrolling on social media, you are investing time. And chances are that investment is not paying off if you are just passively scanning pictures and randomly DM-ing people. If you are using your time to study trends connect with like-minded people and family trying to make things happen or watch education material for your growth then you
are investing your time wisely.
Treat your time spent like money spent.
Note
One of the most potent ways to increase your savings isn’t to raise your income but raise your humility.
This one cuts to the core. There were times I could have cashed in on opportunities, but I thought I deserved to have a higher stake in the opportunity. I wasn’t arrogant about it, but there have been some jobs I wasn’t going to do.
How has this lesson changed my view on finances forever?
Ego can be the enemy because you feel you deserve to have all the accolades instead of being financially prudent. In the future, taking the ego out of my decisions will be wiser, mainly if it results in completing a long-term goal.

Ask more times
"I just landed a major deal after messaging the CEO 15 times with no answer.
Instead of assuming they’d get upset, I assumed they were busy. Being shameless pays" — Ryan Breslow
The life you want comes from a handful of asks.
So you better get good in 2022 at asking. An ask is simply a question. Don’t expect an answer and you won’t find yourself getting pissed off so much.
The key isn’t to ask more. The key is to ask in different ways.
What I do when a major ask gets no reply is to leave a gap of blank space. I will ask the person again in a few months. Recently I asked a famous author a question after trying for the last 5 years.
They finally responded. I found the right balance between their selfish interests and my future vision for online writing.
Most people don’t ask enough times. Make asking a daily habit.
