How to Construct your own Mental Library
In 5 years from now, you will be the same person - except for the books you read and the people you meet.
Make sure to read a wide variety of nonfiction books - Biology, mechanics, philosophy, business, marketing, psychology, communications, and mindset to build up your own mental library.
Why?
Because you familiarize yourself with a steep learning curve. A curve that can reap benefits because you are pushing what you know to the limit and you never know what will help you down the line.
When you are entering uncharted knowledge for yourself it stimulates ideas and creativity.

Books of the Week
1- THE POWER BROKER: ROBERT MOSES AND THE FALL OF NEW YORK BY ROBERT CARO (Audiobook)
A long book and interesting view on power from a despicable person but effective master builder of roads and infrastructure.
I did the audio version of this one. The book is 1ooo plus pages and the audio was 36 hours. I figured let me feel out the audio first. Not going to lie 2/3 the way in I didn’t want to continue. I felt like Moses was a despicable person who is insanely drunk on power. I hated the fact how he destroyed families and ruined people who got in the way of his goal. Even his own family. Moses was ruthless to the core.
However, I reminded myself that I have to be objective when I read books like this. Especially since Moses was a man of his time so a lot of these guys like him were despicable.
No doubt The Power Broker book is well chronicled and I have come to get a huge understanding of the city I grew up in (New York) and All the infrastructure and parks I have come to know were the result of this man.
Interesting side fact Moses was the reason the Dodgers left Brooklyn as the team owner Walter O’Malley wanted to build a new stadium and Moses stymied his plans.

New York, A Documentary Film City Of Tomorrow - Which features a biography of Robert Moses.
Great Summary on the person Robert Moses
2- The Coaching Habit by Michael Bungay Stanier
Bungay Stanier reveals how to unlock your people's potential. He unpacks seven essential coaching questions to demonstrate how--by saying less and asking more--you can develop coaching methods that produce great results.
The book provides a great framework for asking coaching questions.
The kickstart question: “What’s on your mind?"
The awe question: “And what else?"
The focus question: “ What’s the Real Challenge Here for You?"
The lazy question: "How Can I Help?"
The foundation question: “What do you want?"
The strategic question: “If You’re Saying Yes to This, What Are You Saying No To?"
The learning question: “What was most useful for you?”
Definitely a great read. One I will come back to over the years.
