Words of Wisdom
"Deal with the difficult while it is yet easy;
Deal with the great while it is yet small." —Tao Te Ching."Win the day and go on your way.
There are always doubts:
But what if…
Will I be able to…
Should I be worried about…
Leave it be. Have the best day you can today. Win the moment in front of you right now." — James Clear.
Insight
“Tomorrow’s battle is won with today’s practice.”
I didn’t always believe that.
Early in my career as a steamfitter, I used to watch the veterans on the job with what looked like effortless skill. They could read blueprints like second nature, make precise cuts in tough materials, and stay calm under pressure—no matter how chaotic things got.
At first, I thought they were just naturals. But one day, a seasoned journeyman pulled me aside. He saw me frustrated after botching a cut, and he said:
"Don’t worry about tomorrow’s work. Just practice today. We all had shaky hands once."
That hit me.
He reminded me that what looks like confidence is often just preparation, repeated day after day. Since then, I’ve applied that mindset to everything—my craft, my coaching, my writing, even parenting.
Now, I know:
✅ Confidence is built, not found.
✅ Success is trained, not lucked into.
✅ Practice doesn’t just prepare you—it transforms you.
So I’ll ask you:
What are you practicing today that’s preparing you for your next breakthrough?
