Notes/Observations
“A fish discovers water last.”
In other words, you can be surrounded by everything you need to succeed but still be oblivious to it. Today, more than ever, we have access to everything we need, and regardless of this, it is easy for us to make excuses for not succeeding. Be mindful and take full advantage of the blessings around you.

Homeless To Billionaire: The 18 Principles of Wealth Attraction And Creating Unlimited Opportunity by Andres Pira
This book was a decent read with sound principles for success.
The Book Is Part Autobiography, Part Success Workbook, And 100% Life Lessons As Pira Details How To Move From Fear To Inspiration, Competitiveness To Domination, And Student To Mentor In Business.
His Call To Action Is For Readers To Live Their Legacy Every Day.
My takeaways
1- Write down 101 goals I will achieve in the next 12 months
Write down all the things I don't want in life.
and on a new sheet, write “I do want to”
Then do a “what can I do today list” that brings those goals closer
2- Don’t get gifts on your birthday. Give gifts instead; for example, volunteer your time.
It is the law of vibrational giving.
Giving with pure heart not to get anything in return.
Great example:
Toms shoe company that gives a pair of shoes to impoverished kids for every shoe bought in America
3- Wake up every day expecting problems —fear comes from being unprepared.
Have the anticipation that you can positively have a solution.
4- Respect the old when you are young.
Help the week when you are strong.
Confess when you are wrong.
Because one day, you will be old, weak, and wrong.
Excellent advice in wealth and business.
The Emigrant Edge: How to Make It Big in America by Brian Buffini
This book explores the traits and values of emigrants, people who leave their home countries for a better life, and how these qualities can lead to success in various aspects of life.
Buffini combines his experiences as an Irish immigrant to the United States with stories of other successful emigrants.
The book outlines principles such as a strong work ethic, a willingness to take risks, and maintaining a positive outlook. It's a motivational and self-help book that aims to inspire readers to apply these principles to their lives for success and fulfillment.
My takeaways
* The mindset of Gratitude: Emigrants often possess a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunities they've found in their new homes. The book encourages readers to cultivate a mindset of appreciation for the available resources and options, which are always available if you are resourceful enough.
* Purposeful Planning: Buffini emphasizes the importance of setting clear goals and creating a plan to achieve them. Emigrants often have a strong sense of purpose in pursuing a better life, and readers are encouraged to do the same in their personal and professional endeavors.
* Networking and Relationships: Building and maintaining solid relationships with others is a common trait among emigrants. The book stresses the value of networking and connecting with people who can support your goals and dreams.
Connections are everything, especially when you leave all you know searching for opportunity.
* Financial Discipline: Many emigrants are known for their financial discipline and frugality. The book highlights the significance of managing money wisely, saving, and investing for the future.
* Adaptability and Resilience: Emigrants often face significant challenges and setbacks, requiring them to be adaptable and resilient. The book encourages readers to embrace change and face adversity with determination.
These takeaways provide practical advice and insights on applying the emigrant mindset to various aspects of life, from personal development to financial success.
The theme in these two books, from Buffini and Pira, was people starting from the bottom in a country different than their home and making themselves a huge success. Both books had significant parallels, but the best and most important theme was having an attitude of gratitude. Both have owed their incredible success to being grateful for everything they have.
